March 30, 2010 - Joint Venture brought together Santa Clara County, six partnering cities, VTA, and Rethink Waste for a major public partnership on the purchase of renewable energy to reduce public costs and greenhouse gas emissions. A project of the Joint Venture Public Sector Climate Task Force, the Silicon Valley partnership is the largest multi-jurisdiction collaboration of its kind in the U.S. Officials from Joint Venture and several participating organizations announced the Renewal Energy Procurement Plan at a news conference.
