Please join us for the 2013 Silicon Valley Energy Storage Symposium.

This symposium will bring together key participants—from the public and private sectors and from the academic and research communities—to engage in a discussion about energy storage and how we can move the industry forward in Silicon Valley.

The event will include keynote presentations from Assistant Secretary Patricia Hoffman of the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability, and Assemblymember Nancy Skinner (15th District). The agenda will include updates on energy storage at the state and federal levels, as well as a deep dive into some local energy storage initiatives.

Joint Venture's Response To Climate Change

Joint Venture is actively involved in Silicon Valley's regional response to climate change. We are engaged with dozens of regional and local public and private agencies, municipalities, businesses and other stakeholders in programs and activities designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, promote sustainable energy and improve the quality of life for all.

The Lifecycle of an Initiative

All Joint Venture initiatives begin with a specific mission and identifiable goals and then are carried out to their logical conclusion. Successful initiatives culminate with their goals achieved. Others, after incubation by Joint Venture, ultimately transfer to partner organizations for long-term administration. Still others cannot reach the desired outcome due to a variety of circumstances. In all cases, we analyze the steps taken, the data collected, the accomplishments and the shortcomings, and then report the results of completed initiatives to our board and to the community.
